I found tons of references but this piece you put together from Dr. Harper is gold. Kudos to you for asking the right questions and Kudos to Dr. Harper for answering them so well. I am bookmarking this site!

I beg you to have Dr. Harper do a similar breakdown of Cervarix if that is possible or if Dr. Harper does not have the info on that could you find another Dr. with the same ethics to provide a good balanced explanation of the drug as you have done with Gardasil. My daughter was told that she had a high risk hpv at the age of 27 and they recommended she get the Gardasil to prevent getting other high risk cervical cancer hpvs which would make her risk even higher down the road.

What is so frustrating is they can’t tell her what strain she has. They are guessing as to if it is a cervical cancer or genital herpes type. She has had no breakouts so they assume it is the cervical cancer one.

She is very good about getting paps every six months and did have high cell count but it dropped and she is normal right now. Does she really need any HPV vaccine like Cervarix? It is clear she doesn’t need Gardasil.

My daughter works in health care industry and went to the best doctors in the area that you have to wait months to get in to see and they were giving her all sorts of bad info and miss information. What a relief to find good information and how sad it is that the best docs are not up to speed on this not even the specialists!

I think talking about Cervarix would complete the discussion on HPV vaccines.
